1. Why Face ID fails
- Hit on the top corner: TrueDepth camera, dot projector or flex.
- Screen replaced without moving the original module correctly.
- Liquid in the sensor area: oxidation, iOS disables Face ID after a hardware error.
- Cracked glass over the front camera can shift the module.
2. What you can check
- Settings → Face ID & Passcode: a hardware error won’t be fixed by enrolling again.
- Restart; a network reset does not fix TrueDepth.
- If the screen was replaced elsewhere, tell us — the path differs from a clean drop.
- Don’t peel the front camera at home — short flex, paired to the board.
3. What NOT to do
- Don’t buy a “universal Face ID module” — it won’t pair to another iPhone.
- Don’t take a rock-bottom screen with a 100% Face ID promise.
- Don’t rice the phone after liquid near the sensors.
4. When to book diagnostics
- Independent shop (not Apple Authorized): we check the module, flex and prior screen work.
- If original TrueDepth is intact, we transfer it onto a new screen correctly.
- If the module is broken, we say what is possible — no fake promises.
- WhatsApp: model + exact Settings message + whether a screen was already replaced.

Yes if the original TrueDepth module is transferred correctly. A new screen does not heal an already-dead module.
Can you move Face ID to another iPhone?
No. It’s paired to the board. We don’t offer that.

Notch sensors oxidise fast. Power off, don’t charge wet, bring it in.
“Face ID has been disabled”?
Usually hardware. Re-enrolment won’t help.
